Vietnam e-visa for Belgian

Hi. I’m Belgian. I heard of Vietnam e-visa. So can I apply for this kind of visa for my travel to Vietnam?

Hi Somad,

We are sorry that Vietnam e-visa is not available for Belgian citizens at the moment. It is for citizens of 40 countries only, excluding Belgium.

At the moment, there are only two options to obtain Vietnam visa for Belgian, consisting of:

  1. Vietnam visa on arrival; &
  2. Vietnam visa at Vietnam embassy.

In case you travel to Vietnam by air, the former one is highly recommended as you may save you a lot of time and give you a lot of convenience. With this option, you only need to apply online for a visa approval letter, get it via email and then pick up full visa at Vietnam airport upon your arrival there. Its application requires you no travel at all. Here is the link to apply: https://booking.vietnam-visa.com/step1.html.

In case you do not travel to Vietnam by air, or you wish to have a visa stamp on your passport before departure for Vietnam, you have only one option to get the visa for Vietnam which is to get it at Vietnam embassy. This way of visa application will require you to submit your original passport and travel to submit your application documents.

Whichever you choose, you will get a valid visa for Vietnam.

Should you need any further information, please feel free to let us know.

Don't overstay your Vietnam visa

Want to stay in Vietnam longer

Hi. My Vietnam visa will expire on November 27, 2016 (3 months multiple entry). But my issue is that I wish to stay in Vietnam until December 21. What should I do? Please advise.

Dear Nohan,

Please be kindly informed that, in this situation, you have two options:

  1. Extend your current Vietnam visa; OR
  2. Leave Vietnam and then come back with a new visa.

To extend your visa, please send soft copy of your passport and current visa pages to our email [email protected]. After getting your information, we will contact the Immigration Department for your case and get back to you for details. However, please notice that the getting Vietnam visa extended now is rather complicated and costly. So, we recommend you the latter option, leave Vietnam and come back with a new visa.

Should you need any further information, please feel free to let us know.

Ways to get Vietnam visa for Belgian

Hello,

I am a Belgian citizen who is going to be in Vietnam for 10 days from October 26-November 5. I understand that i need to get a Vietnam visa. I am researching online about the visa requirements, and some places say i need to get it pre approved from an embassy in Belgium, and others say i can get it upon arrival. Can you help me with this?

If i do need it pre approved in Belgium. i will need to get it done as soon as possible.

Before September 30th.

Thanks,

Mitch Johansen

Dear Mitch,

Please be informed that the information you found is right. However, here we want to make it clear for you.

As Belgian citizen, you have two ways to obtain a visa for Vietnam.

  1. Obtain the visa at the local embassy of Vietnam; OR
  2. Obtain a Vietnam visa on arrival.

The former relates to getting visa approved by the embassy. And the latter relates to getting visa approved by the Vietnam Immigration Department. Both grant you with a valid visa, but they have to relation with each other. Their procedures are also quite different as follows:

1. For Vietnam visa at embassy:

  1. Step 1: Travel to the embassy to submit application documents (including original passport, application form and photos) and pay for visa fee;
  2. Step 2: Travel back home and wait for visa processing;
  3. Step 3: Travel to the embassy again to receive the visa stamped on passport;

With this option, you will have visa on your passport before departure for Vietnam.

2. For Vietnam visa on arrival

  1. Step 1: Fill out the online application form and pay for service fee online;
  2. Step 2: Get visa approval letter via email within 2 working days;
  3. Step 3: Board the flight and get visa stamped upon arrival at Vietnam airport.

With this option, you will have the visa on your passport upon arrival in Vietnam.

The second option may be much easier for you to obtain a visa for Vietnam. However, you only apply for it if you travel to Vietnam by air.

We hope this information works well for you.

Is my Vietnam visa approval letter legitimate?

This is my first time to Vietnam, so I’m very confused about my visa approval letter. I’ve got it, it has my name already, but it contains names of others that I don’t know. Is it possible? Can I get my visa on arrival when I land in Vietnam?

Dear Lilo,

We are sorry for this convenience. But please note that it is normal to have multiple names you don’t know included in Vietnam visa approval letter as it is the procedure of Vietnam Immigration Department to process visa applications submitted to them at the same time with yours. You still get your full visa upon arrival at Vietnam airport without any problem.

For the next trips, if you wish to have a private letter, please send a request to [email protected]com after you submit the online Vietnam visa application form. We guarantee to provide you a private one without extra fee.

Should you need any information, please feel free to let us know.

Kind regards and happy travels!
